その会社は、お茶汲みで倒産しかけたのだという。
なんでも、その会社は原因不明の業績悪化にあえいでいたんだそうだ。
いろんなところをチェックしてみても、どうしても悪影響を及ぼすような原因が見付からない。
どうしたものかと途方に暮れていたらしい。
そんなとき、その業績悪化が始まる直前に寿退社したOLがいることに気付いた。
そのOLはお茶汲みくらいしかしてなくて、抜けたくらいで経営に打撃が与えられるとも思えない。
しかし他に原因らしい原因も見当たらないし……ということで、
経営陣はこのOLさんのところを訪れて、とにかく話を聞いてみることにした。
元OLさんは「たいしたことはしておりませんでしたが……」
と遠慮がちに自分のやっていた仕事を語りはじめた。
まず茶葉を仕入れて来ると、それを一度全部あけて、葉と茎に分別する。
誰よりも早く会社に着き、全員の机をきれいに拭く。
そして出社して来る社員たちの顔見ながら、一人一人にお茶を淹れる。
このとき、少し元気が無さそうな人を見付けたら、
前もって分別しておいた茎をお茶にちょこんと立ててやるのだそうだ。そう、茶柱を立てておくのである。
